I've been trying to organize my art files and found a handful of drawings that I never posted and can't figure out why because I'm happy with how they turned out. I made this one last year right near the start of the lockdown. This as a color study of a photograph and I decided to add a character to the scene. I really should get back into the habit of doing studies when I have the time.
I'll probably be posting a few of the drawings I've found over the next few days though I'll toss most of them into my scraps.
Enjoy!

There's something comforting about fresh, thick snow, especially at night. The way the sky looks, where the clouds and atmosphere blend into each other so it's not always easy to separate them; the soft crunch of the snow and its ability to deaden sounds all around you, quieting the world somewhat; the way the snow drapes and blankets the world in such novel ways; the swirl of flakes and the feeling of them hitting your nose. Finally, you go home, get into warm, comfy clothes, gets some tea, a blanket, and sit in or near a big window and watch everything while being safe and warm. I've always loved this kind of thing, and you really hit those points in this. It's beautiful!
