The presence of True Dragons sometimes can affect the development of the local wildlife. An example of that can be seen within the species of giant lizards known as the Pseudosuchus (or faux crocodile). Some specimens developed thicker armor on their bodies, replacing thin, fin-like sails with scaly plates which (towards the tail) make them resemble actual crocodiles even more... aside from the rows of spikes that can be used to not only bludgeon but also cut up anything unlucky enough to get withing slamming range. Their lighter, more blueish coloration is an indicator of another change: Elemental Affinity.
These variants of The Common Pseudosuchus, from here referred to as The Greater Pseudosuchus, are stronger and bigger than their peers, and also have developed the ability to shoot powerful jets of water from their mouths, in a similar way to a dragon's breath-weapon. This, as it would seem, is the next step in the natural evolution of this species; only time will tell if any other changes may occur.
