For those of you who commented on how careful the character in one of my earlier 1900s-fashion pics would be forced to hold her tail just 'so' to avoid disturbing its decorations, check out Danielle's tailset in panel 3. She's not working too hard to keep it that way, though; her dress is made to keep it in one place.

You never disappoint like that.
It's a hard line to draw---on one hand, as this story develops, the characters' multispecies culture and non-human biology have become crucial to the plot, and it's very nice to hear that I'm communicating that.
On the other hand, you know that people with fur would never have evolved Victorian style. A corset would ruin fur, 'nuff said. I think the audience tends to tacitly ignore those issues in a lot of anthro art, though, so I let it slide long enough to create these things.
Also the collar of Danielle's dress. Love that, too.
