A submission to last Thursdays, Thursday's Prompt: Reaching
Decided to go for a different format this time and rather than throwing the whole story into the Description like I ususally do this time I put the story in a .txt file....
I'm not sure to the postives or negatives of this but hey mixing things up.
If people prefer this set up do let me know or if you don't also let me know
Just your standard BioFox fair for your enjoyment.

“Yes... We’ve occupied half the galaxy while you’ve only existed on this frigid rock”
How to make friends and influence people ;) An interesting insight into your story-universe Haas, looks like the Lupines had their own colony-worlds before something happened to them?
And oooofffff, that last line...
btw might be just my PC but your text file doesn't display correctly for me at all.

Thank you Alex, and thanks for the fav. ^_^
Yes that Private Samuel seems to know his way with words; probably needs a promotion. ;)
Also yes! The Arctics unlike there relatives were not really infavour of this whole naturalist, low - tech lifestyle that collapsed
the colonies in the Milky - Way. Though there only issue was that there planets kind of forced regression...
(a little bit of in - fighting my have also played a part)
Though with how much time has passed I don't think anyone from the homeland is coming. Though am sure the Arctics will be happy to be reunited
with there fellow people despite how much they've changed... Am sure it won't go wrong.
Maybe harsh but if you've traveled across galaxy meeting relatively developed life and then your gift at the end of one side is tribal,
impolite, snow wolf people... Yeah I can appericate why some might not have been so sold. Heck if it weren't for the F.F.P showing up
and galatic boarders forming, the temptation might have been just to skip those snow globes...
There was also that war but CSS and fighting would be citizens in those opening years was a bit like bread and butter.
hehe just makes me think of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaDHpf2Lcwc
Though given the fact Vel exists and a good few CSS politicians and bussiness folk have Arctics as bodyguards may have suggested
Stern was just being a bit of a Skeptic.
Interesting, did it come up wrong on the webstie or did you try downloading it?
If you downloaded it (from the bottom menu), that's a fault on my end. I wrote the story fristly in a word doc and then I kind of
just dumped it into a txt file which kind of messes up the line spacing... Big oops on my end there.
It seems to display alright on site but then open the that question of if you use the classic or new layout? (I use classic)
On the other hand if you used the top download am not really sure what is going wrong there; am also seeing werid errors
in place of special symbols and the Italic are just showing at the text command... Strange.
Guess I've got a little more figuring out to do with using txt files.

y/w! And I see, the collapse of interstellar civilisations is always an interesting concept, how long would it take isolated planets and peoples to become so different that they could be considered a seperate species or at least find it difficult to relate to each other?
Your story looks fine on the FA website, I'm using classic layout as well, and actually its perfectly readable when using the bottom download but all kinds of messed up with the top one...that's very weird.

Probably dependents on conditions, could be talking a few thousand years or a few generations.
If you've near perfect terraforming that could makes colonies just like home changes would probably be non-existent.
If it's imperfect and things like gravity are not changed or the enviromental difference are small change would likely be slow and subtle.
But if you'rer stuck on a do or die hell scape evoultion and natural selection will likely turn one into the most suited specimen in no time at all... If they survive.
Hhmmm... That is quite curious; well if the bottom download works I assume there's nothing to worry about. Must just be one of those things.
