There's something about the Mother I like that I can't describe. Maybe it's the random deep metaphorical moments and dark cynical moments mixed in with the absolute silliness of the series as an RPG (Coffee Cups and Disgruntled old ladies as monsters?! HAH!).
Maybe it's just exploring the strangeness of the series, like how a baseball fanatic, a kindergarten teacher, prince toilet, and a pyromaniac are guided by an super bumblebee from the future, heeding a warning that you will stop the destruction of the planet from a porcine bully, a giant human fetus and a horde of alien gumbies(...Can I buy some pot from the makers of this strange series? >>)
For whatever reason, I like the Mother series and its style of artwork, even though the difficulty spike is THROUGH THE FREAKING ROOF! Oy! >> Either way, here is a picture of myself drawn in the style of the Mother Series(Aka Earthbound.) Psi FREEZE OMEGA!

Heh heh, nice job on this one. I always thought that the staring characters looked kind of like the 'Charlie Brown' kids, and you captured that here too.
I myself have recently played and completed Earthbound for the first time, and it is a great game. Why can't RPG's these days be humourous like Earthbound was!?
