Well this 'un took me a little while longer than expected to color. Reason being that this is the second attempt. The first one was almost identical with the exception of the wheels. I colored them black feeling that if I colored them red that there would be too much color. I was wrong, the Heisler looked to darn "plain" and the scheme didn't look balanced.
Well I revised the design and here we are. A nice looking geared locomotive with a balance color/paint scheme that I would dare say looks quite sharp. Again, I've tried to stick with a "Disney" theme and or feel, I believe I've acomplished that goal. My only other comlaint is the yellow trim on the domes. They are a bit too "thick" and look more like brass bands wrapped around them, instead of being painted yellow stripes.
I have yet to decern a name for this loco, suggestions are encouraged.
And hopefully I'll have a job soon, which means that we may see this loco, along with many others, come to thruition soon! This will make one smashing On30 model, wouldn't you agree?
Comment if you Fav plz!!!

Davidson locomotives had an average service life of about 17 years which wasn’t bad for a machine that was at the cheap and nasty end of the market. One survives on the West Coast.

There were a lot of oddball locomotive built for the bush trams.

I think this was once a stationary engine that has been put on wheels.

Most Davidsons were gone before WWII and the last ran in 1948 after Climax 1317 developed a serious boiler defect. It was only used for a few months while a better locomotive was found.
The drive chains were the Davidsons Achilles heel and stories of the chains breaking are at the core of the Davidson legend.
This one is the only Davidson to survive.

That would be the "Roaring Camp & Big Trees RR". They're a 3ft narrow gauge and have two Shays. One is a 2-Truck and the other is a 3-Truck. They have one Heisler and a Baldwin 0-4-2 saddle tanker. They also used to have a Baldwin 0-6-2 saddle tanker, but it was sold to some tourist railway in Japan.
