After coolarite was mind control by hypnotic decepticon known as Reginald who attempted to take control of a majority of the Autobots and some decepticons minds to use as a army to try and over throw crazeon. When he managed to mind controlled coolarite he forced him to tossed the matrix to make it easier for him to control coolarite. When cosmo major found the discarded matrix as it temporarily then the major into a prime as it even matured the Autobot but not to much so Cosmo major was still himself but more matured slightly
