So, I've gotten a bit of motivation for my art back now, and here's why; something I've been waiting a long time to upload. Put simply, I didn't want it on here until it was ready and had already reached its true destination; my mother's hands.
This is my birthday gift to her, two weeks late from trying to get the printing and framing sorted out, and because of that it's my biggest and best work so far.
It's a combination of two of her favorite things, elephants and gardening. In fact, this is a mostly-on-point recreation of her own actual garden, including the vegetable planter on the lawn, the wheat field beyond the fence and the view of the distant hill we often go for walks around. Even the aqueduct nestled down in one of the hill's nooks and crannies!
And yes, she loves it.
Happy birthday, Mum. :)
