oceantiger11 , because I can. :)
done without reference while the others were rolling dice for new characters. some times it's the best time for a swift sketch. :)

impressive. I got around to getting into Shadowrun only about 10 years ago, but I still like that one. Version 4 anyway. The ones after that became too ..limiting in terms of chracter creation.
I do, however, have the books for a different and much older system here you may know of: Alternity.

Yeah.. the popularity of tabletop RPG seems to have diminished - which from my perspective is a blessing in disguise - as it means that although finding people to play with may be difficult, it also means it remains largely below the radar of nefarious folks who would suck the fun out of the game and replace it with ideological garbage.
you mean like the proposed new gen of shadowrun? or D&D6? both are so woke you won't find any sleep again whatsoever... it's about time that the "role-playing gaming" industry realizes they need us gamers - but we gamers don't need them. take any long-tested rules system, or think one up, and play the stories you want to play. who needs a new set of a dozen fat books every year (with minor changes which are so significant you can't just translate from tle previous edition) and pre-made adventures that just look and feel like you played it 40 years ago already?
in fact I am referring in particular to the latest addition to D&D 5 - which my DM refuses to buy - for obvious reasons.
The beauty about TTRPGs is that you need not use the latest version, because there is no competition like in tabletop-strategy (warhammer 40k with its codex-creep and tournaments for example) I for one stuck to SR4 because SR5 from my perspective was too "streamlined" and thus denied me the wide range of options that SR4 does. And SR6 which was recently announced, likely is even worse. Oh well.. I am sticking to SR4 thank you very much.
