I'm going to have to agree. This is a very impressive redo. The reduced saturation (even if only by adding a white overlay) and removal of the background has done wonders for this image. I wish there was a way to get those eyes to 'feel' more sharp, though. Even though they're already sharp. It's ... I don't even know how or if it's possible. The image is already a huge improvement (just the eyes seem like they could be just a little better)
