Everglade never thought that he would find his future in a remote sanctuary, of all places, with a very small and very rag-tag tribe of griffins...composed of orphans who had adopted each other as siblings and a gruff and brutish Red-Feather for a Chief. But, tribes of his own were getting rarer to find, and he could never venture into the mountains. His wandering days would have lasted forever had he not found this place, and found her...a Hybrid of all things, so demure and beautiful that he couldn't help but try to fit into her world, and he loved her and her unusual family the more time he spent with them. Even Chief Magma grew on him, and he respected the old leader for the life he had to endure.

And now, with winter fast approaching, he knew where he wanted to belong. On their next outing, he presented Pearl with the betrothal pendant that he carried as a rogue, pledging himself to her AND her tribe...if she so wished for him, too.

Don’t worry, she said yes. x3

In my universe for these guys, young male griffins leave their tribes with betrothal pendants that they make for their future mates and wander as rogues until they find a tribe to be accepted into. This sadly contributes to trouble with hunters, as they were made to believe that griffins hoard treasure.

These two are OCs that I had connected with my Ave Mythrium adoptables world on Deviantart (and yes, Everglade is the same Everglade as this picture: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/38147064/ However, I updated him to be more accurate to my latest edit to the color genome x3).
