Sometime way back last year when I was mostly copying panels from Walt Kelly-drawn comic strips and comic books, I was captivated by a panel in some fairy-tale story. It showed this teapot, and set, in the foreground while stuff happened in the background, and they had personality. Like, it was a teapot that had seen things. I copied it back then, but didn't capture what was so great about it. But, now, I'm a better artist, or more experienced at least, and wanted to give it a try. So here it is. With the twist that it's all done ab initio, without checking either my old picture or Walt Kelly's original. I have not checked how close it looks to the original designs; I just wanted to try making a tea pot and cup that had faces and to see how that looked. I'm ... not sure that I like this design; something about the face feels bad to me. But I am convinced that it looks like the things it's supposed to, which is progress.
