Our dear Maya has gone, and as a tribute for our loved pet, friend and family member, I want to share some good remembers from her.
Like many dogs, she hated water and didn't like to take a bath. But on those hot summer days (40° C, 110° F), she ended up thanking for the cool water and good massage. Here's she with her "thankful" face after her last bath.
One thing that caught my attention is that she clearly knew who the leader of the home was ... my father. When my dad went out for a walk or to pay the electricity bill (the payment office is a few steps from my house), Maya used to wait for him at the front door, while she howled bitterly. When she saw him coming back, she used to calm down and got happy again; a sample of how she always cared for us.
