
The artist could no longer ignore the seductive whispers that haunted his thoughts, casting away his projects with a clearing sweep of his arm, he lay down a fresh sheet of canvas. With compulsion and determination, the artist grabbed the tubes of oil paints and emptied them onto the canvas. Smearing them into shape with his hands with no thought or planning, the thick paste took form as the voice compelled him to continue with his latest work. The artist began to mumble chants in an ancient tongue as an incessant drumming drew louder and louder as the painting neared completion.
Collapsing off his stool the artist exhausted. The painting was completed and yet the chanting failed to stop. It demanded more, he demanded more. The Nowhere king demanded sacrifice.

I rather enjoyed painting this. Done in acrylics on card (oppose to oils on canvas paper), the hard part was painting the Hebrew and Amharic letters,
I apologise if there are any typos as I don't speak either language so i googled it and I'm a bit cack handed with a brush!
I also had to change nowhere to void for the translation to make sense.
