Twenty years ago in New York City
A bright Tuesday was announced in the blue sky
But this day was turned upside down: a bird wanted to kiss her
A bird kissed my tower and the fire rose like a geyser
All New Yorkers attented the show in shock
Seeing the smoke caress and the flames raped my tower
Fifteen minutes later another bird wanted to tickle her sister
This one was aslo struck, like the New Yorkers, in the heart like a hammerlock
Two symbols of peace had just been touched
And the whole watched shocked
Faced with this fire that engulfed towers and people like a torrent
Finally bruised and exhausted she ended up falling in torment
Stunned we witnessed this terrible spectacle
The last one tried to resist, but martyred, joined her sister
Helpless many have hoped for some miracle
Unfortunately nothing would be the same again; peace had been touched in the heart by a darter
That dat thoustand of people flew away
As two towers have fallen that tuesday
That day we were all New Yorkers...
