I don't mean to make you feel bad...But when you adopt a pet of any standard you have to think about the following.
A. Will they be happier with you then where they are?
B. Will the have more advantages for life?
C. Will they be disadvantaged?
D. Will they be able to have a nice family as they should?
My rule of thumb is to think of any pet as a person, And would you fix a person so they can't have children? Would you keep a person in a cage? Would you refuse to feed a person just because it isn't time? (I like to free feed my pets so they can eat whenever they are hungry)
Give it some thought.

you also cant anthro real life animals.if the animal is content where it is,if it is well fed and kept safe, kept entertained, it can live a much longer less stressful life in captivity.it doesnt know what it doesnt have or what could be. all it knows is what is.animals live in the here and now.
So you think.
My dog misses his old friends (Butch and Sabre), He knows their names and their faces (Muzzles).
So don't tell me animals are in the here and know, They are living, Sentient, intelligent creatures.
The only differences between animals and Humans-
Speech, Stature, and Attitude.

You can not apply your rules to all animals or humans.
The situations are too different. Jak was born in a zoo.
He and his siblings were taken from their mother after a few days and have been raised by a domestic dog.
He has no behavior wich wild foxes have.
He had 8 siblings and only 2 were sold.
The others are still kept in a herd (which is very wrong for foxes).
Jak was the omega animal in his brood.
When i took him to me with 5 month he was very sick and unhinged.
He was beeing bitten and hurt by his siblings and was afraid of anything that came next to him.
He would have died if i had not taken him with me.

As much as i would LIKE to agree with your idea of animals being humans too, they aren't. You can't change that, and for instance if you treat your dog like a human instead of like the heard animal they are, they start taking on habits that by all rights they shouldn't be doing. (barking at random doors, peeing on random objects.) Would YOU start yelling at random noises? Would you start peeing on the furniture or humping people's legs? I doubt it, so as much as we would like them to be like humans too they aren't. Granted I don't know the full story behind this fox so i don't know if its justified or not, but by getting them snipped, they don't live any less a full life as they would without being snipped. Would I be willing to get snipped? Sure why not? After all there is a good chance i won't be having kids, if anything it will be easier to control my anger if i did.
animals piss on things to mark their territory, its called instinct and will continue to do so until a 'pack leader' shows themself in the case of dogs. Or they start marking their territory cause they can smell a female in heat, which triggers their mating instincts, part of those instincts being to mark their territory. Babies cry and pee themselves cause they still haven't physically developed any ability to hold their urine or crap and therefore do the only thing that they CAN do to ask for help, which is cry. We humans grew out of our instinct, animals such as dogs, cats, horses and the like have not. I have lived with animals and helped raise animals long enough to know about basic animal instinct and what separates us from them.
I'm not ignorant, if anything your ignorant, with a touch of arrogant. Oh and look at that, i try and teach you a lesson on the minds of animals and you start getting all gwumpy. Ok well here is another lesson on what makes animals different than humans, did you know that ONLY dolphins have sex for fun besides humans? No i bet you didn't think of that. Look, I wasn't trying to piss you off, if anything I am annoyed with owners who don't know just how paranoid their pets are cause they have no authority figure to look to because their owners think 'oh but they are people too!' They are not people, period. They can't eat the same food, they are driven by instinct rather than cognitive thought, and uh oh yes, let's not forget the fur, scales, feathers or whatever else they have atop or for skin. Sorry to bust your bubble kid, but throw out that bull crap about animals being people too cause it's complete lies and can make an animal unhappy. Have a nice day. :3
While your at it, look up the dog whisperer cause you apparently need to learn a few things about being a pet owner. Just some semi friendly advice. ;3

You wont bother to read? so you are arrogant. This makes you a lost cause. btw, I have never seen any of our animals having sex to build a relationship, only to dominate others and reproduce and I have lived around dogs, cats, horses even chickens. I pray that whatever pet you have won't live a paranoid life like the dogs off of the show the dog whisperer that would bark at every little noise or mark there territory wherever the heck they want. Course you wouldn't know cause your a pet owner with your nose so far up your ass to even bother taking another person's advice.
lol yes i have complete and utter control over my animals lives, I decided i would love to have my cat here in my apartment with me and sacrifice all his freedom with being able to go in and out of the house as he pleases, yet he isn't here in my lap as i type this why? because I made the hard decision to leave him with my parents so he may have all the freedom he could ever want and have a content life in a large house with puppies to play with and keep him company as he runs in and out of the house whenever he wants. Yes I have an all controlling life over my pets. Oh and what is this?! he was snipped? and yet he isn't one bit skidish and purrs contently with the attention he gets?! le gasp! It's completely against your assumption of what an animal should be should they be snipped, and i have never had to deal with cat piss due to him leaving his scent all over the place, and yes cats do it too. You ever consider that maybe, just maybe, you could be off on your facts just a touch? Why don't we both end this conversation right here, have your last word all you want I am sick and tired of your know-it-all bull crap.
I know what a contradiction is, but I see no contradiction. I see my argument for animals not being people and yet show that it is possible to love one's pet while still keeping that in mind. Or was that too complex for you? It is as my brother said when i shared this subject with him, 'animals aren't people, but neither do we know entirely whether or not they have any any real thought processes, but it is our job as pet owners to make decisions for them to make their lives as comfortable as possible.' to treat an animal as they are just that, animals, does not mean to rob them of all freedoms all together. That is the misinterpretation you are making. What they need is a leader in their lives as these are pets and not people and do not know what proper behavior is. My cat knows proper behavior in most ways, the only problem he has is jumping on the counters when he shouldn't be. That is our problem though, not the animal's, as we have left food on the counter and drove my cat's instincts to seek out, find the food, and eat it. The price we pay for not being a responsible owner and keeping an eye on said PET is now the cat is sick and puking in the corner. Why? because the cat is an animal, its instincts brought him to eat what? PEOPLE food which said ANIMAL was not suppose to eat cause it is not healthy for them. Now on the TRUE issue we started with rather than on my so called contradiction, ask yourself this; why was snipping my cat so important? Why was snipping this fox so important? Try answering these questions before flinging out the all powerful (not so powerful maybe?) 'animals are people too!' line!
I can't believe I haven't left you alone. lol you seem to not understand a single thing I say. x3 Anyway, this is getting unhealthy for me, arguing with you I mean. Why don't you ask your precious pet (assuming you have one) for all the answers you need, heck maybe you can get said pet to respond to me them-self, that would shut me up, assuming it had the ability to do so if it were a person like you or me.

The idea that there is a fundamental difference between humans and all other living things is the origin of all cruelty to animals as we know it. I'm not agreeing with the other guy/girl/thing, but this belief is based on primitive religious dribble. Look up Descartes, the filthy savage who believed that because the sand fleas that wrote the high-and-mighty 'Holy' Bible said 'animals don't have souls' (prove it), that animals are more or less mindless flesh robots that don't think or feel AT ALL, and thus it was impossible to 'abuse' them. Bottom line: 'Intelligence' is not 'yes' or 'no', but a gradient. Perhaps this is too diffucult for creationists to understand?
I have no balls to be chopped off. :3c
But.. I neuter most my male animals and spay most of my females as well. Dogs, cats and ferrets. (Ferrets come that was.)
Preventing more animals.from dying unloved in pounds and shelters is more important than an animal's sex life. At least to me. Of course this is completely unrelated to foxes as I am not really into having wild animals as pets.
