Days before the depicted scene, Rakant and Takaani was paid a visit by Kinzerelk's army, the forces threatened their homeland and sought to expand their influence and power. The dragons stopped this army entirely, annihilating their forces and leaving only a small percent alive; including their general, the king's broth. Suha. Rakant and Takaani informed Suha that if he wanted his people to survive, his brother needed to be removed and their kingdom's aspirations needed to change. Suha agreed, although only for the good of his people, he would challenge his brother for the throne. Days later, Suha would do just that under the distant watch of the dragons, Rakant and Takaani would witness Suha kill his brother Nunak and claim the throne. Rakant and Takaani would return home and give the kingdom time to adjust, before returning to address Nunak and to discuss their nation's relations with Kinzerelk.
