Wow...that's insulting...Shows how much faith you have in my abilities i guess *sighs and walks off slouched and sad* and here I was proud of the work I had done.

It took my 8 hours alone getting the skin to look right...paint smooth...paint smooth...for HOURS. I was up untill 5am working on this and now my pride in it is all shot to heck and I'm almost about to cry...Integrity is the most important thing to me in art *sighs*

I hear ya there...I didn't draw in school b/c the one time I did, some kids accused me of tracing, that shit stings like hell, especially if you spent like whole days on it.

To go trough all that fancy effort, and then just slap in two cruddy brush tool crapolas as the background, why? It would've been great with some well painted grass, but this takes a lot of the "cool" out of it.

Insulting you? I was being damn contructive, The character is great and you know it! But background is pathetic, it is is five AM you go to sleep, instead of rushing a crappy BG for the picture, not like you were under a deadline.

And What you see constructive? "ooh! Awesome! *worship worship asskiss asskiss* Well it is not away from me if your art is less then what you're really capable off. Yeah, suck all you want, be as mediocre as you want, just as long as you get just enough brown nosing to keep happy!

And since you really want constructivity so much have at some:
The hair looks like it's greasy and oily, try smoothing out some of the highlites in it or bring them further along the head's shape more stronger and unify them with rest of the lightsources as now it seems that the hair is from completely different situation.

Then the clothe on the butt side, maybe adding more translucency or just bit softer highlites at parts would make it look less like candlewax-ey.

And shouldn't the nose pick up some of that sharp highlite on rest of the skin in that angle? Or do faeries apply a lot of makeup? Also wings could use some thin "burnt trough" white lines to suggest some solid structure going in them.

I'm happy with this picture...just as it is...brushes and all. I thought they looked pretty...plain and simple. That's why I used them...you can say I'm mediocure for it, fine. I'm I'm proud of my work...it's better then I've done before...I'm happy with it.

It is not matter of liking, I like your artwork, I love the effort you put in it, it just baffles me to see you then didn't bothered over background.

You did this blasted awesome fairy, and then alll of the sudden like american currency there's a steep drop in quality. If there wouldn't have been the photoshop "grass" I'd been artgasming over this picture I assure you.
So please, if you still have the original PSD file somewhere, do a proper background for it with some more time later ok? I know you can do it, I know it would be awesome, and it would inify this picture and make it so much more.

I more then likely will go back and work on this one more...mainly because i end up doing that with almost all my pictures...That's why I have two "creations" in my gallery...Will also work on it because I tend to want to make everyone happy (I know it's lame, but it's true)
