positives (butterfly verse) and it's challenges we have to trudge through.
Seems mostly it's about growing up and clinging to past perspectives instead of learning and moving forward.
First part talks about being revealed a new truth
Second part is about ignoring this new truth to the point of hurting oneself and refusing to believe anything else
Third part is about how the rest of society perpetuates immature ideals
Fourth part is the refusal to see oneself in the grand scheme of things
Fifth part is about how you cannot stop the change and that change in perspective is needed to deal with reality
Sixth part points out that each person is unique and brings new perspectives, and to not ignore what others see
Final part is about acceptance of all this and to take all the new knowledge and form ones own path.
That's how I see it, at least. It's interesting to write something like this and completely forget about it and then come back later to see what it means with new eyes.
Anyhow, I liked the poem nonetheless. Made me think.
