Researcher's Notes:
* A Beautiful Variant Lapras species that was abundant in Ancient Times
* Early humans relentlessly hunted them for the jewels adorning their bodies, and their mythical horns which were believed to grant wishes.
* For almost 2 centuries, scholars believed that the Bejeweled Lapras had been driven to extinction
* A Small clan of this variant pokemon have been discovered living in the ocean's depths not far from the coast of Bell Island
Variant Divergence:
* Developed Highly Sensitive Gills for breathing extremely oxygen deficient water, facilitating deep ocean dives with very little need to resurface for air
* Imbedded Jewels absorb light (Sun & Moon) and store it to be used for Navigating the darkest depths of the ocean
* Capable of producing 'spores' of bioluminescence that take several hours to dissipate; this pokemon uses them as 'bread crumb trail' to avoid getting lost in dark seamless waters
