Just a little image to help understand the scale of forms in my story Mer Made, since it has both micro and macro. Wee lil' shrimp mermaid is Marina, and the deepsea nightmare queen is her older sister Naiad.

Haha, good to hear! I had done a regular mermaid story and seawitch, so figured I would go some place a bit weirder with this one, lol. Naiad's abyssal queen form is anglerfish head with her human torso as the 'lantern', seadragon wing-fins for the arms on the lower torso and 3 octopus arms per side where legs would be. On her back are bioluminescent seaslug parapodia covered in neurotoxin, and then a gigantic eel tail behind her leading into the depths. Oh and petrified tortoise scules plating her body, but you can't see those at all in this picture since its just a silhouette. When she dives into the deep sea the pressure compresses her body and the scutes lock together and form a solid shell, preventing her from being crushed in the sea floor while still being able to exist at the surface.
Ooh, never did a collab before, but it would be some time before I am able to- I am basically all preplanned up to next year. Two more stories this month and then I have four Halloween or spookier themed stories planned for October, then November a series of super shorts (Wet Scenes stories), and then using December to cross off some of the leftover better formed ideas from my ol idea pool, leading up to the mega sized years finale story; Chaos Reins.
