edit: this image will never be finished.
the reason: a failed raid 0 array resulting in whole drive failure, lost everything.
[Edit4: added a scale skin pattern, still need to add depth and detail to all those small teeth, the eye, the skin in general, face, hair, darker skin spots, the mouth and tongue have a texture but its barely visible, have to improve that, added details to the meat cleaver, need to work with the belly, nails, lights, shadows, lot of things to do and i touch it so few :P, tips observations and critiques are welcome.]
work in progress of the previous sketch, added a ''sword'' that its basicaly a hunk of rusted iron he probably acquired from elsewhere, just made it sharp and added a solded steel pipe handle, its basically a meat cleaver <3

Nice naga, though.
well buddy thanks for your comment, and well, hes not a naga, its what i call my character , in his bio, which i only know, hes a mutant, was a person before, its half python half man, thats why much of his features resemble more to the human body and others dont resemble neither, he has long arms, primitive hands, adn what seems to be hair is not, its like hair bit it doesnt have the same genetic structure, they are scales, with more volume than hair, and a little more thick, but heh, just i know details like tht because i never published my character's bio anywhere lol
what he is holding its a ''made'' weapon, well that was what i was trying to paint, i still dont finish this but at least now have basic colors

The muzzle is so boxy and squared (mouth/snout/inside of his lips) and the teeth look like you photoshop-cropped a saw's blade and pasted it digitally into the mouth. The teeth between the top and bottom jaw dont even line up--and the jaw has a lot of work to-be-done on how it hinges. Poor quality.
The hair in this picture looks like straw from out in a field that you picked up and tried painting black, and failed, hardcore. Then again, the eyes are so dis-proportioned that they are NOTICIBLY out of place with the rest of the picture, but with a head that thin from top to bottom--I guess there wouldnt be a brain in there either to know you made this naga look retarded.
Good going. For someone who is an "illustrator", and likes "good (quality) art", your stuff isnt very good, or quality. I suggest really working on your anatomy, instead of looking at a cardboard box when you draw. Who knows...maybe that's all you have to reference.
You like critique. Here's been my critique.
I hope this helps, because you have no leeway critiquing others art, saying it's crap, when your own that you actually drew is FAR worse.
Other people in the room were also saying this piece was terrible--not just me, so if the fact that others think it, and I write about it, says anything...

the muzzle is square on prupose.
the teeth are like a sawblade, have you ever seen the mouth of a snake? no? go research, they arent even called teeth and are like a ''sawblade'' they are directed backward because they are used to pull their prey when the jaw divides in 4 when eating big things. and no they dont line up. look at snakes when eating.
snakes dont have lips, neither this mutant guy.
the hair is not hair, its a mutation of the scales that grows from his head, they are thick, have more volume and are a little ''shinny'' or at least is what i was trying to show here.
the eyes i havent worked because its a work in progres... and i like that shape
its not a naga , its a mutant. python / man hybrid. nagas have human heads.
yes i need to work my anatomy, idem :ivybeth: gave me red line in this one, no i dont look into a cardbox, i dont even draaw boxes when drawing.
if i liked my own arts wouldnt i be egotistical? the fact that i like to look at good things doesnt mean i make them, if my stuff were good and i were egotistical as you say why would i have a button that says the users to offer critique?
and just to let you know this isnt finished. and im talking about colors.
