Welcome to the Twentieth volume of the Dark Culture Series Inklings
Tonight's movie for review is director Jim Jarmusch's The Dead Don’t Die, which was supposed to be a horror comedy. But in reality we were sold a bill of goods!
Who would have thought that a two minute trailer could have been filled with so many lies?
If you were planning on watching this film, I would suggest taking 10-15 minutes to read this article. It might just save your evening. At least you won't be dying of boredom...

They take photos today... with the internet, offers come from all over the world these days.
Here's an interesting thing for you too. I may have mentioned my house had a ghost my daughter named Fred. My wife and I were discussing this, and in the early days she used to come to sleep in our room because he scared her. I asked her about this and she said she would wake in the middle of the night and find him standing next to her door staring at her. She got used to him I guess. She said he lived in her closet.
Then when Sally, my mother-in-law was dying, (hospice at our house) she looked towards the ceiling and held out her hand, and named him correctly. She then looked at me and asked, 'Who's Fred?'. It was a bit awkward, but I explained him to her.
So, as I'm staying there, taking care of the clean up, I'd talk to him. (one sided conversation) and told him I always thought he was a good house guardian, and thanked him for all the unknown things he'd done for us. As I was taking my final load to the car, I heard a distinct knock (three of them). I yelled out I'd be back in a second, which I was, and asked what he wanted to tell me - well - I found a bunch of things in Laura's closet that I'd forgotten. I'll have to take them with me on our final visit.
*hugs...

Well that certainly was interesting; I can’t say that we’ve had that conversation before.
The spirit realm has a tendency to avoid me. Jeff on the other hand is a spirit magnet.
I would half jokingly ask him if he made any new friends when he was out Urbexing.
It would seem as if Fred was of the friendly persuasion. I can’t say the same for the spectors that would follow Jeff…

My grandmother had the touch. I apparently inherited it from her to some extent, and after talking to my daughter, she also has it.
In Fred's case, I took the time to speak to him, and actually offered to bring him with us if that's what he wanted.
My brother lives in Tennessee, and he says the incidents of phantom knocking has been increasing at his house. He says even the dogs hear it and begin barking. Besides the Civil War, there were Indians living in this area for hundreds of years.
I went to a ghost panel at Megaplex, and if I was a ghost, I think I would have steered well clear of the girls giving that panel. They did give some good advice. Before you leave a haunted place you are supposed to say goodbye to the spirits so they don't follow you home.
