'Caught somewhere between a blink and eternity is an enduring memory of someone not too distantly removed. An epoch etched on a mote of sand is as much the awe as the crystal rainbow suspended beyond the diamond husk. Here giants and kings once walked, even as they do now, their shape is changed and yet....a persistent memory reminds, that the kingdom has ever been and beyond us ever will be.'
My contribution to the fantastic RARE Anthro Calendar, currently in it's second year! This year's calendar highlights both some of the more well known and some of the less known about species that have gone extinct.
I managed to luck out and actually got a chance to illustrate a Homotherium, which is one of my very favorite of the sabertoothed cats. I'm not sure I managed to capture the anatomy as elegantly as I would have liked, but I was ecstatic to be able to work on something, more or less, for myself and be able to submit it to such a great project! I wish I had more time to work on this, but alas been plowed by deadlines left and right along with a lot of goings on in my life x]!
This calendar IS available for pre-sale RIGHT now, but the presales close August 31st, after which only a limited number of calendars will be available as private sales through artists. The number available after pre-sales is undetermined, so if you want to ensure owning one, please do purchase one now! Thank you to all of you in advance, ordering information is at: Order Here before Sept 1st

Im sorry my uploads are so infrequent these days. Ive just been incredibly busy the last few months, so much so that it's felt more like half a year! All of it has been grand happenings though and I feel happier and more confident than I think I have ever felt. I do still stalk FA, so I haven't forgotten you wonderful people ^_^! Thanks for the ever wonderful encouragement!

Good God, where do I even start when commenting on a picture as amazing as this? Wow, just wow. The details are stunning and those colors! This is so beautiful. The fur looks so soft I feel as if iIcan stick my hand through the computer screen and touch it. And that bunny! Bawwww!
Now I know I must go get a calendar! xD

Way to make those guys the Ninja Turtles are named after look like complete amatuers.
This is my favorite Favorite OF ALL TIME! When do you start selling prints seperate for the calender.
Also, I see the Homotherium has absolute perfect taste in timeless fashions.
The tragedy of the furry artist is that the original painting should be worth at least six digits (If not 8) for its quality and depth of subject, but because of the anthropomorphic aesthetic, the rest of the world sees it as less than a fraction of that value.

Thank you for the lovely comment, though I do receive a lot of comments on my anthromorphic art from people who say they usually dislike anthro art but appreciate said pieces. My secret goal with my art is to hopefully teach a wider audience, ie outside the fandom, to appreciate more 'feral' anthro art [:. Might be a silly goal but I have reason to hope it is achievable!
"Feral" art does seem to have a larger demographic appeal because it's a lot more relevant to reality. I was just thinking of the fact that if this featured a "Feral" instead of anthro, a number of Museums of Natural History or the such would have great interest in an awesome piece like this.
This post made me sad because anthro art is so "alien" to those outside the fandom the true artists like yourself are underappreciated and underpaid for the amount of awesome beauty put into these pieces.
Also, I ccan fully understand why so many people dislike anthro art, considering our fandom's representative minority >.<
But, I can't see anyone disliking your awesome art.
P.S. I hope your goal is achieved as well! You deserve much greater recognition for your outstanding ability.

Oh I think there is still hope for an established artistic base dedicated to anthropomorphic art, be it slanted towards a wildlife feel, as I strive for in my work, or more fantasy depictions. I haven't met with terribly many people who outright disliked my work. As with any niche of art, even wildlife art which has a substantial collector/fanbase, it's just never going to be to some people's taste. I have met with folks who have been willing to pay my asking price for anthro artwork, so like I said, I do have hope. It is not a lost cause, it just requires a larger number of artists to formally establish anthro art as a legitimate 'movement' of art (for lack of a better term) for it to become something more widely embraced and understood. I will say that I don't particularly consider myself a furry and nor my anthro work as being 'furry' art but I have to clarify that it's not because I have anything against furry or that I dislike the fandom. The majority of the fandom I have had dealings with have been outstanding people, but the simple fact is that's just not how I would classify myself or my art C:. Thank you for sharing your thoughts but don't be so discouraged ^___^. I believe anthro art has a bright future!
