Here's a half moon knife I made today.
I made it from a leaf spring and I might draw a picture of how I made it at a later time.
The leaf spring section I used wasn't that wide, I made it wider using extra material.
What I basically did was have a rectangular piece of steel and I cut a V into one portion of it and heated it up and bent those two ears down into itself to make those curved in ends.
A drawing would explain better.
For the whole 2 hours I worked on that sheath, it doesn't look as good as the knife itself, so I will re do it in the future.
The handle is made from ash and the ferrule (cap looking thing) is made from the end of a CO2 cartridge
