My sona kinda does that, being made of nanotech, he can somewhat dissolve into a silvery liquid-like form, get absorbed into the intestines and then freely explore or at times posess the body of the host.

yep especially if the dragon with ok with swallowing some morel ight that mayor may not pass with us and I could enjoy giving some micro a endo tour of my gut with some objects as well :P

Absolutely! That was also a wonderful movie. Maybe because I am a biologist, but I just think anatomy and biology at tiny scales is as fascinating as space travel.
