This is absolutely lovely. Points of note: the texture, heavy but not heavy enough to completely overwhelm the picture. And the arc of Sensei's wings, which have depth but aren't oppressively leaning "out of" or "over" the picture. Augh, it's hard to explain that, but a lot of bat/winged artwork I see tends to position the wings on a flat plane somewhere within the picture, and often that plane cuts straight through the picture without interacting with it. Sometimes that plane is angled toward or away from the viewer, but it usually isn't as complex of an angle as this one, which really can't be said to be on ONE plane; also, it usually doesn't come off as 'natural' as this one seems. Sensei doesn't seem to be strained or awkward in how he extends his wings; it adds to the peace of the picture.

...Wow, that's a lot of incoherent TL;DR for me attempting (in my totally non-art-savvy terms) that the posture and angle of the bat wings is very convincing.
