- Abe Sapien (Hellboy)
- Pirantishead (Power Rangers)
- Sea Ponies (MLP: Friendship Is Magic)
- Antedeans (Star Wars franchise)
- Plutarkians (Biker Mice From Mars). Lots of people have a favorite alien species. Some like Xenomorphs, some like the many species of aliens Ben turns into but me, I like Hutts, Martian Mice, and Plutarkians. The Plutarkians are pretty much alien fish-people (some, if not all of them are named cheeses) who are known for being really foul-smelling and primarily being planet looter types (kind of like with the Blaarg for that matter). I personally think that not all of them are evil, they're just the victim of having a terrible 'toxic' leader. What interests me the most is how some of them eat worms (Limburger does in particular), perhaps a nod to how worms are used as bait when fishing. I like to think that there's a lot to be explored with this species to be honest.
- Deep Ones (H.P Lovecraft's works). I find the work of H.P Lovecraft to be generally fascinating, because it has both horror and sci fi elements. And the Deep Ones in particular fascinate me the most. I can kind of see them as being possible ancestors to the plutarkians in some way or even long lost relatives, I can see Limburger being a fan of Lovecraft as well.
- New Pacifica citizens (Fish Out Of Water episode of Bojack Horseman). I love the episode as a whole because it is unique and beautiful, it's definitely an emotional and heartwarming episode and the designs of the citizens of New Pacifica are wonderful, they even have deepsea fish in there and my personal favorites...seahorses.
- Davy Jones and his crew (Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise)
- The fish-like monster in Leviathan (Leviathan, 1989). Deep sea fish are awesome because they are creepy but also fascinating.
- Fish Men ('Go Fish' episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer).
- Cratcher Mortel (Grimm).
- Hassenfussige Schneke (Grimm). Out of all the animals to become a Wesen in the Grimm universe I wasn't expecting it to be a blobfish and well...I was pleasantly surprised.
- Bikini Bottomites (Spongebob Squarepants)
- Lagoona Blue (Monster High)
- Naiad (Grimm)
- Missing Link (Monsters VS Aliens)
- Gill (Kim Possible)
- Gill-Man (all versions of him).
- Mon Kalamari (Star Wars). I would also have said Gungans but Gungans are kind of an amphibianoid species as opposed to fish-like, so Mon Kalamari is my go to choice here for fish-creatures in the Star Wars universe.
- Tiger Sharks (Tiger Sharks). These guys are shapeshifting superheroes who can turn into anthro versions of aquatic animals.
- Pirantishead (Power Rangers)
- Sea Ponies (MLP: Friendship Is Magic)
