Indulgent TF 16 - Transforming is Good For You
We set about changing the people who want to be changed, calming the minds of those that don't, and generally being good preachers of the church of transformation.
Not everyone comes home with us, but we get a good spread of people shifting, and the possibility of more in the future.
The turn is finally done! We get to choose what to do with our base. There's a lot of options, ranging from Recruits to Upgrades to Research and even Raids. So much fun! Vote on 4 things to do.

hukeng ! Pony art is by Rannarbananar, a tongue-twister of a name.
Whew. This had been partially finished before the medical fiasco, but now it's done. I needed a bit of working on My Stuff before going back to the long pile of commissions. The power is paid for, thanks to a very generous furry, but there's still so many to change. I'm halfway through a mouse/shrinking one right now.
HR people continue to be butts! "We'll get back to you next week". No, I need money now! I need job now. Wanna job, wanna work for you. But they don't want people to work for them anytime soon.
I have once again done the thing where my entire front page of the email inbox is full of applications and "we got your resume", rather than actual email. Good times.

I'm glad you found the time to work on this, all things considered.
So, four actions to spend. Here's my plan:
Recruit Alex. He can shift between human and non-human at will; he'd make a great undercover agent. We should snap him up while he can.
Recruit the Lioness. If she's going to be lurking around our enclave, we might as well get her on our side. Plus, having a freaking lioness out front is bound to deter raiders.
Suppressing Fire - send Strive and Dawn. We're low on weapons and not really prepared for a raid; it'd be a good idea to stall for time. Strive and Dawn are two of our best magic-users, and they were involved in defending against the last raid, so they're good picks.
Research - Basics of Warfare. This would be a good way to prepare for the upcoming Spartan raid.
Further down the line, I'd like to find a way to improve our means of transportation. If we've got to go abroad for shopping, we should probably find a more efficient way to do so. Having a giant flying minion who could carry our shoppers from point A to point B is a possibility, but would probably scare people and/or have a prohibitive upkeep. I wonder if portal technology is within our reach?

I agree with you on three out of four actions. However, instead of Suppressing Fire, I think we should Upgrade Base Defense. Even if we weaken the Spartans, it won't do much good if they recruit more people than we pick off. Plus, the Tree of Life will take a few turns to get to hys full potential, and we can't afford a meager harvest if hi is damaged or destroyed. (I say hi/hym/hys because hi used to be male and plants are hermaphrodites. )
I'm with you there, our lack of weaponry means we should probably focus on defense first.
Also, I think instead of Alex, we should recruit Caleb. He has insane potential, and I worry what chaos could happen if Kestrel gets ahold of him. I don't being undercover matters as much after what happened in the city.

Can't argue with you there. But I'll put Caleb over the Lioness instead - she's not exactly interested in joining a faction. I still think Alex would be a good choice, though, but maybe we should try recruiting Seth instead so we can know what his powers are. I would pick Marty, but since he's a statue on our turf, there's not much incentive to recruit him other than the Spartans trying to take him back. (But what use would they have for a statue, since they are anti-TF?)
I vote Base Upgrade: Defense and Recruit Alex for reasons explained in above comments.
I think Suppressing Fire is justified at this time, and vote we send Strive and Leon. Strive's TF magic is potent and Leon provides the speed to make this a good hit and run, and some physical offense and defense if necessary. And yeah, fine, research Basics of Warfare. We have enough ex-police and ex-Spartans that we can make sure the entire team has basic tactical know-how. I don't want anybody in our ragtag bunch getting fatally shot.
I'd like to recruit Marty but don't want to immediately put the pressure on him of fighting his previous faction. I don't think the other recruits are great ideas. Lioness doesn't have any interest in factions or ideology but will probably already defend our location from hostiles within reason. Caleb... I don't want to pit kids against guys with rifles. Morris is a family man with his own responsibilities and may still join us even without outreach. Seth just doesn't interest me yet.
I also think the raid idea would be fun but it seems more like Kestral's MO than ours. I'm sure one faction or another will snap up those rich folk - and not necessarily one that cares about the money.
