Yep, this shows all of the kid's backstory about how his parents were always fighting and mean to him and such...great detail in so few panels!!

Great second page, looking forward to seeing more. The panel with him running back the house looks a little awkward with his right foot, almost as if he's jumping off from the tree.

I was really trying to convey the idea of "hauling the ass." If you're running from a situation scary enough to break in on an argument between your parents involving the "D" word, you must be pretty damn freaked out.
