A recent
techno. picture --- https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43743915/ --- got me thinking of the first two-footed, no-armed character I remember in furry. Back in the days of the Squeaky Clean Furry Archive/Yerf there was Hysteria, this rather cute marsupial creature that folks couldn't resist hugging (see https://yerf.metafur.org/farrchri/oranhyst.gif ) or mistaking for a bunny ( https://yerf.metafur.org/furnjaso/nonbunny.gif ) or generally drawing fan art ( https://yerf.metafur.org/dyethom/hknvrmnd.gif and riffing on That Nirvana Album). I'd never tried drawing Hysteria back in the day, mostly as my skills weren't even up to that, but I felt like giving it a belated try.
And then I shied away from quite doing so. It's been decades; I don't know whether Hysteria's creator is even in the fandom anymore, or how they might feel about grossly belated fan art as lies behind this. So, there's some changes in the body plan made, here, so as to make this more of the Off-Brand Hysteria Sound-a-like version.

Quite glad I could let you know about a real character design from the ancient days! Also glad to know their creator's still in furry (see
Sir Kain's comment below).
