I'm so damn happy with how this one turned out. It's honestly one of my favorite Sombreve piece ever.

It's pieces like this one that makes me proud of associating myself with this sona.

Like... Might be a surprise to some of you but I'm a pretty easy-going guy irl. I very rarely get angry at stuff, and will often laugh at jokes that no one on earth would find funny. Sombreve has really been about exploring my sexuality and growing as a person through this mask of "greater than life" confidence.

For the longest time I felt like I was letting myself get stepped on by others, to the point where I'd work myself to the bone to compensate. Used to be a big issue at my old job, as friends and coworkers would often remind me.

I feel like being this character within community helped me a lot with that issue, and so I'm at the point where I feel more comfortable with giving Sombreve more aspects of my real self than before. Don't worry, he's still the same hot purple monster as before. He's just gonna show a more chill, loving and wholesome side that lives in tandem with the beast that he is.

He's a part of myself, one that brings pride and confidence to my mess of a brain. He's also a being who can bring strength to those who need it, the same way he did for me.

I still wouldn't say that Sombreve truly feels like a persona for me, but this art felt like a piece of the puzzle I've been missing for a long time. 💜💜💜
