I had tons of fun with the special effects this time! (If it's too much, let me know!)
Note: I - again - went back to the original TV series, because I still wasn't satisfied with their looks. The faces should now be a lot closer to the original source material! :3
But: the paw pads on their hands and feets are staying! I love those too much :P

Well, that is the intention: my Chance is supposed to have a rough edge when it comes to this (girl & relationship) stuff. He defaults back to some of his "dude-bro" logic, which is a remanent to their military academy days, he hasna't shaken off (yet). Outside of that area, he should be fine and likeable.
I don't know if I communicated that properly in the comic or put too much emphasis on it, but that is atleast what I am going for.

Just now found this sweet little comic after doing some new searching of my favoriteold 1990s cartoon, having just learned that the creators were able to keep the rights and are actively trying to make a reboot called Swat Kats Revolution. Here's hoping!
I had forgotten how much I loved the personality dynamics of the two kats, and this story reads as very believable to me from what I remember of the show. I also really enjoy these types of fan narratives that try to fill in the blanks of what might have been happening in-between the actual episodes while still remaining as on-canon as possible. Really nice work, author.
