I mostly look at ebay for older games though I check for pictures and make sure the seller's rating is above 95% before I buy. I only ever had one bad purchase while trying to get a hold of Pikmin 2 so I know what's it like. As a kid I never brought games from a flea market as I was interested in yu-gi-oh trading cards, which I now find I can buy cheap through amazon.
Also I agree the merchant from RE 4 is the best one to dress up like to sell games as gamers will definitely get the reference. Although be careful as you may scare any younger kids passing by.
