It's not that Hue and Thorphax are scaredycatsdragons, they're totally fearsome scary growing young dragons--but thunderstorms are scary, especially to anyone who can fly! There are all sorts of instincts dragons have about getting out of the weather when it's looking like thunder is brewing, as you definitely don't want to be caught up in the sky when the air's windy and wet and getting charged with imminent lightning... That stuff's dangerous, and it's only natural for a dragon's subconscious to tell him, take cover, get somewhere cozy and safe before the scary booms start!

Hence the blanket fort, but even that might not be enough when the bright lights flash outside the windows and the house-rattling booms start. Yeah, they're warm and cozy and dry indoors, but dragons don't like thunderstorms and they gotta stay safe! So the frightened young dragons are just gonna.. curl up under the blanket together and try not to make too many scaredy noises until the storm goes away. Whine. ;w;
