Biography:
Once a denizen of the dimension outside of the living world known as "Safe Haven", and turned into A seraph of the Lord after death, Creighton "Cream" Bijou is powerful and all-seeing; but at the same time, he is uncaring towards everything, even if it's mandatory to his job. Regardless, his magnificent mind sees all, and to this end, he manipulates important events all over creation in the name of keeping a balance of freedom, and the natural order.
Unlike other seraphim who fly around the throne of God, Creighton is tasked with his very own role in keeping the universe running smoothly as its "monitor". He bears considerable power and influence that grants him the ears of those he interacts with, which range from holy officials in heaven to demonic royalty and overlords in hell. His interference in personal affairs is very limited, having disciplined himself to not have concern over the lives and mishandlings of mortal kind.
Creighton's occupation as the monitor has him surveying all events that take place over creation and advising necessary steps to guide them in the right direction, usually through tiny manipulations that cause more important choices later on; although he doesn't usually personally involve himself with said events, he is not forbidden from doing so and will intervene with certain things and people if he feels he is required to; such interference usually requires removal or add-ons of important individuals who either benefit or hinder civilizations on larger scales. This means that Creighton is actually allowed to eliminate certain humans when required, a privilege that unofficially shuns him from much of heaven's populace.
The reasons for his special and unusual privileges remain unknown.
Appearance:
In his mortal form, Creighton was an anthropomorphic adolescent cat. He had brown fur with white hair and a white heart marking on the center of his face; he also had abnormally long ears for a cat. He had wooden brown eyebrows, olive-green eyes, and a striped tail. He usually wore a black coat with a red scarf, a white sweater, blue jeans, and brown boots.
As a Seraph, Creighton is capable of manifesting any form he chooses, and will usually retain a feline form, only with several edits to his mortal one. As such, his white and light brown fur colors are more evened out, and his ears are now a more reasonable length; he also has large white eyebrows, slicked-back hair, and dark turquoise eyes. As with all angelic creatures, Creighton bears a halo to display his heavenly status and a set of wings for flight; like all seraphim, he bears six wings instead of just two. His halo and wings are notably more distinct than other angels; as such, his halo glows much brighter and his wings are adorned with large eyes on the feathers. Both his halo and his wings can be optionally concealed under his clothes.
In his normal attire, he primarily wears a regal-looking victorian uniform, including a silver-white coat with gold trim and a grayish-brown underside, a white shirt with a ruffle collar fashioned to look like angel wings, a blue medallion, a stone gray vest, white pants, black knee-high riding boots, and matching gloves.
When dressed more casually, he will exchange his regal clothes for a black t-shirt with the words "Syntax Error" printed on the front in blue digital font, dark jeans, and sneakers. He will also have two beaded bracelets on his right arm, one made of wood, and the other made of black lava stone and three blue marbles; his left arm will have a bracelet of a sun.
Creighton can also manifest a disguise while on earth, but unlike others who make human disguises, he will normally use a feral version of his cat body. At one point, he has generated a human disguise just to prove he can, in which he appears as a slim-built adolescent with tanned skin. His hair, eyes and clothes all remain the same.
Personality:
It is unclear what Creighton was like before his death, other than the fact that he had a sweet tooth and was apparently interested in books. It is also hinted that he was queer, although the exact extent of this remains unknown.
In modern times, it is putting it rather mildly to say that he is not like other angels; his tendency to not constantly worship the Lord being his most obvious sign of this. Due to his all-seeing power, and the fact that he already died a slow and painful death before becoming an angel, Creighton is unmoved and disinterested in just about everything that happens around him, seeing something as serious as a gunfight within his presence as nothing more than an inconvenience.
Maintaining the persona of a rude and snarky adolescent hateful of just about all forms of life (demons especially), Creighton is extremely begrudging of his required work with mortals and dealings with demonic royalty, but will nevertheless work and bargain with them when required (in ways that do not concede any demonic deals, of course). In this, it can be understood that he does his job out of obligation, not genuine care for the well-being of others. Nevertheless, he does his job well, and always gets it done right.
Creighton doesn't usually care about specific individuals, seeing singular people as unimportant unless called to personally intervene with them, and even then will only show concern for them until their importance is moot, in which case, he will forgo any reason to look after them, even to the point of letting them die, or personally killing them if required.
Deep down inside, however, his rude and hateful persona is actually in place to mask intense loneliness. Having lived a life that is envied by many, Creighton has been isolated from much of his colleagues in heaven, and his constant reminders of others and their relationships with each other make him envious of that which he seemingly cannot gain.
Why an angel of all things would ever have such thoughts or feelings is unknown.
Powers and Abilities:
As a seraph, Creighton is more powerful than the standard angel, and even has a few unique abilities that serve as valuable assets and advantages in his job:
Omniscience - Or rather, having infinite awareness. As per his job as a monitor, Creighton is capable of seeing and observing all events throughout the growing universe all of the time, and can even predict events before they happen with great skill. In addition, his powerful memory prevents him from forgetting even the smallest detail.
Holy Fire - As with all Seraphim, or "Beings of Fire", Creighton is a master of the art of wielding Holy Fire; so much so, it can even be expanded into other elements, electricity being a prime example.
Teleportation - As an add-on to his all-seeing power, Creighton can teleport all across creation without any strain; this should not be confused with omnipresence, as he is incapable of being at multiple places at once. Creighton is, however, capable of traversing multiple plains of reality, as he can easily enter heaven, earth, and hell without the power of a grimoire.
Telepathy - Creighton can mentally project information to any individual he chooses, usually more than one at the same time. This is used to manipulate them into making certain choices throughout their lives as needed.
Wing Manifestation - Like all seraphim, Creighton bears not two, but six wings behind his back, which can be manifested as energy, and hidden or presented depending on his preference; with these wings, Creighton can fly at great speeds and distances, faster than normal angels at that.
"Smiting" - Or rather, his form of smiting. Creighton has, in fact, seen the true face of God, and managed to comprehend his form. Where other angels simply strike down foes, Creighton uses a more personal touch, projecting his memory of his encounter with God into his victims by physically touching them. Due to humans and demons being incapable of comprehending or processing God's true face, their heads and eyes will ignite in a bright fire before they burn to a crisp.
Shapeshifting - When in the living world; Creighton can take the form of a feral version of his cat body to blend in; he is capable of manifesting a human form, but chooses not to.
High Intelligence - Creighton can process information faster than most others and is able to determine possible events before they even happen and figure out ways to counter them to his advantage.
Advanced Telekinesis - While hardly used, Creighton can wield telekinesis with great skill, from lifting small objects to causing shockwaves and earthquakes. In fact, Creighton can use it so often and with such efficiency, it's usually used for everyday tasks, such as picking up and putting away objects like dishes and clothes, and also simple tasks like opening doors.
Weapon manifestation - Despite almost never needing to fight, Creighton can manifest weapons to defend himself when needed. His primary choice of weaponry is a beautifully engraved mace wheellock, which he can easily wield with one hand.
Superhuman Strength - Creighton has been shown to be strong enough to lift a building off its foundation and toss it into space; with one arm; casually.
Superhuman Speed - Creighton is fast enough to launch himself into space.
Nigh-Infinite Stamina - As an immortal being, Creighton does not require sleep, food, water, or even the need to breathe.
Invulnerability - Creighton possesses high impact absorption, is bulletproof, blades shatter on contact with his flesh, large heavy objects can't make him flinch, elemental attacks cannot harm him, nor can magical spells. He cannot get sick, hot or cold, is immune to poison, and is even able to survive in extreme environments like deep space. Only holy weapons can damage him.
Weapon Proficiency - along with his power to summon weapons, he can wield them with great skill. From blunt weapons like his mace and swords to more practical weapons like firearms.
Cooking - one of his more casual skills; despite not requiring food to survive, Creighton does retain a sense of taste, and therefore likes to eat. He will usually cook his own food, which is usually some form of meat with starch. Meats he enjoys cooking range from pork, beef, and chicken, while starches include things like rice, noodles, and thinly cut potatoes.
Arsenal:
Mace Wheellock
Wheel lock combination halberd and double-barrelled pistol
Double-Ended Spear
Spaz-12
Shillelagh
Customized Pistols (x2)
Quotes:
"My name is Creighton, and I am a Seraph. If you don't know what that is, go find yourself a bible nerd."
- introducing himself for the first time
"Yeah; I saw. I always see. I see everything. All of the time. ALL OF THE TIME."
- reflecting his omniscience
"Would you like to see the face of God?"
- before smiting someone
"This is why I never socialize."
- watching humans
"I feel like I should laugh at your complete and total inferiority, but I also feel like that's beneath me."
"You call them humans; I call a worldwide pandemic."
