As stated in the recent journal I was asked to do charcoal drawings and this is one first experiment with this newer topic for black and white artwork business.

The charcoal really gives a haunting feel to the picture, adding to the dark and mysterious nature of the creature and this would make for an excellent illustration for a Cthulhu mythos story.
The sahuagin I remember from Dungeons and Dragons as an aquatic shark-like people and I think there were the Kuo-toa as well whom had some similarities with the Deep Ones. This one though I think would be a good interpretation for Dagon.

Deep and endless, holding many secrets and unfathomable mysteries, ancient beyond reckoning and perilous if you weren't prepared, so easy to drown or to be otherwise lost. Such words could apply both to the oceanic home of the aquatic being or to the effect of gazing into his eyes. He'd noticed he was being observed, so he paused and waited expectantly for the watcher to make themselves known.
If they were respectful, he'd delay his departure a few minutes, just long enough to impart some fragment of lore or a little wisdom before slipping beneath the waves. Or perhaps they would be fearful and choose to flee, though that in itself might show a little wisdom as one could never be too careful around the ocean and it's mysteries.
