I've gotta say, this is by far my favorite panel in the sequence. Both for the expression on little Raik's face. And for the symbolism of that moment in time. Which is probably one of the last glimpses of the surrounding shoe before the toes settle fully into place and come down to seal him completely in darkness. Murrrr, very nice.
