A record was written of Kaia, a bold and inquisitive buune. Elusive, reclusive, and secretive, hers are a people most have rarely seen among the realms of man -— but the threat of what lies ahead called for action. She has a purpose, a calling, and has embarked on a QUEST into the strange and unfamiliar lands of an empire in collapse.

Something a bit different that I'm excited to share here -- this was an opening piece for the start of a 'quest' I've undertaken, after wanting to tackle such a project for quite some time! For those of you unfamiliar, they're a bit like a Choose Your Own Adventure tale, often with accompanying illustrations and narrative text and 'played' by the audience of readers along the way. Folks weigh in on what is happening, and generally speaking the suggestions that seem to gel the most for the group end up informing the actions and events that unfold!

For this image, it was up for a vote as to which 'class' or background the protagonist had -- with the results being a surprisingly steeped neck to neck tie between the second and third options -- a hedge witch, and a 'seeker' agent. So, I embraced the surprise and the result was a combination of the two: a coven agent, off to pursue great perils as the adventure unfolds!

I am quite energized and stoked, getting a lot of new drawing done and having a lot of fun experimenting with different formats, aesthetic and presentation; I'm eager to share a lot more art coming up, and I hope that you all can enjoy the combination of new commissioned pieces, style experiments, highlights of 'quest' content and the more traditional pinups and character designs as well. It's wild to look back on everything that has unfolded over the years--and I am grateful and humbled by all of the kind encouragement and support I've received from many of you throughout--it has helped me to continue to grow and improve in this creative journey and I hope you accompany me through many fun pieces ahead!
