I'm not surprised that Humbug/SamanthaWeltzin is winning, the entry being good story- as well as picture-wise, but I did originally expect a more even poll..
Guess most people simply enjoyed his story more, preferences do play a huge role, his characters being a type loved by many, combined with excellent humor and expression. In contrast, all the gore and nasty stuff in my story may have made a lot of people run away screaming. ;)

Hard to say how many people actually got squicked off. But I do know there are people who read the whole thing and enjoyed it even though they normally don't like hardvore. So, main goal accomplished - reaching the audience without having to go out of my own way, even audience normally not into my preferences.
