My motorcycle!
Originally a 1981 Suzuki GS 250 T. When I got it was in rough condition, missing a lot of parts. A $200 bike. Over time it has been tweaked and modified into a Mad Max monstrosity!
Well, sort of. I've done a lot to it, and put a lot of love into it. I've gone for the sort of "Post Apocalyptic" survival bike look, with the big visual things of course being the flat black, but the tires were replaced with some on/off road enduro knobbies, and the saddle bags are canvas messenger bags. There's a headlight guard from the foglights of a subaru outback, and a battery cover made of foam and duct tape. The seat is home made, and it has one classic style mirror, and one bar-end mirror.
The functional mods, other than the tires.. Well, the big one is that the engine has been swapped out with one from a 1986 GS 450, with a 2 into 1 Vance & Hines exhaust (Love it!), The brake caliper is off of an earlier GS400, and the master cylinder is off of some huge kawasaki cruiser (I don't know what it was... It was stripped almost bare.)
But yup, that is my post-apoc rat bike, Simone.
