"That scene back from Birth by Sleep is set after Coded ending but... Does the secret ending of Coded is connected?... Does Dream Drop Distance story fits with the BBS scene?... Or was it in other way?... Oh my God, this is confusing! I have the feeling that something is wrong with Kingdom Hearts lore here."
Here's first pic of MazinJeeg Prime's Show series fully colored! I just want to point out about Kairi's outfit color. It's not exactly like the game but I couldn't find any other way. All I knew it was pink but it was a particular pink. But whatever, it is what it is.
There's no need to explain about this new series since I already told everything in the ink version (go to check it out if you don't know).
But now let's talk about the main topic here:
As all you Kingdom Hearts fans like me know, 2022 will be the 20th anniversary of this amazing series so we're supposed to get news about future games. But I don't want to talk about what we have to expect. I want to focus on something that bugged in my head for a while regarding the Kingdom Hearts lore. Do you remember that cutscene from Birth by Sleep before playing the secret episode? After having readed King Mickey's message, Sora decides to start a new journey and Kairi gives her good lucky charm to him again, saying "See you soon". That's good from here. Then in Coded ending we learn the whole content of Mickey's message which connects to that BBS scene I mentioned earlier. But here's where the confusion begins. We get Coded secret ending that leads to Dream Drop Distance with Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery. Let's talk about it: how can this fit with that BBS scene?! Think about it. Mickey writes that letter after he learns about Ventus, Terra and Aqua (what a long way to figure it out) still being out that and suffering. I suppose he sent the letter before talking with Yen Sid, but why interrupting Sora's new journey for that Mark of Mastery? I start to think that Dream Drop Distance should have never existed and sounds like a retcon/filler (whatever you wanna call it) because it doesn't seem to connect with that BBS scene. Also, for those who may doubt on my point of view, here's another huge question: what happened to Kairi's good lucky charm?! It's completely lost and absent in whole Dream Drop Distance and especially Kingdom Hearts 3! Nomura must have forgot about this detail and changed the rest of Kingdom Hearts lore mistakenly. If Nomura carefully have taken note of that scene, we would have had a completely different Kingdom Hearts 3 today, without the time travels or replica stuff. But what is done is done and there's no way to turn back.
This is my point of view about the rest of Kingdom Hearts lore. It doesn't mean I don't like what we got after BBS, I'm only think about a detail that people may have forgotten (I suppose). If somebody want to shine me about this, I'd be glad to discuss on it.
I hope you like it and see you at the next episode of MazinJeeg Prime's Show!
