Blader Blaze has finally made his appearance along with his powerful Bit-Beast companion, Maanir that lives within his Beyblade. Blader here seemed to be like any ordinary kid living a normal life before him and his parents were attacked by... members from Team Psykick??? What!?!?! Yes! It seems that Gideon had survived the collapse of his lab and retreated for a couple of years before making a return. Turns out he had teamed up with Voltaire who had been released from prison and begun plotting their revenge against Tyson and his friends.

Gideon decided to resurrect their Cyber Bit-Beast plan and wanted to do a few tests. So they decided to pick a random area which unfortunately wound up being Blader's home. The Beybladers working for Gideon & Voltaire launched their blades on the unexpecting family and the Bit-Beasts ended up exploding from being too defective. Blader was the only survivor and as he was crawling out of the rubble of what used to be his home, he overheard some of the bladers saying "Oh nuts! The Bit Beasts malfunctioned! Let's report back to Voltaire & Gideon at once!"

After hearing the name "Voltaire" Blader already knew who he was as he was a huge fan of the Bladebreakers but also knew that Voltaire was Kai's grandfather. Blader vowed his own revenge on Voltaire just as the emergency services arrived.

It turns out Blader sadly lost his left eye but they were able to replace it with a robotic eye thanks to the money his parents had that paid for his well-being after their deaths. Luckily, his blade and launcher survived the wreck of his home and were brought to him at the hospital by a friendly policeman. After recovering he decided to get some new clothing and practice his blading skills before using some money to hop on a plan to Japan. He wanted to meet Kai face-to-face as he was still angry about what his grandfather has done to him. Yes, deep down Blader knows Kai has nothing to do with his grandfather but due to emotions still running rampant and Blader being constantly angry he just doesn't accept that sadly.

Blader does meet up with Kai and challenges him to a battle... Will Kai accept this challenge from a novice...? Will Blader see sense and instead of attacking Kai he follows?
