As a species, Turians are not known to be fond of the cold.

Vhorin Menaeston however found himself quite drawn to it. In the middle of a chaotic battlefield, cryogenics offered a means to impose stillness and order. Freezing an enemy bought precious seconds to strategize. But more importantly to Vhorin, it brought him satisfaction and a feeling of control.

Transferring to the frigid wastes of Noveria as part of a security detachment, the young Turian was eventually able to leverage his way into the good graces of the local Elanus Risk Control Services branch. Securing himself scientific employment in weapons development after resigning his military commission. By all records, he spent several productive years there working under the ERCS. Advancing from tactical advisor to being a qualified researcher with management over his own laboratory where he was free to pursue more personal projects.

It was only after a series of missing person reports began to mount, all of them Turian male specimens in peak physical condition, that investigators began looking more deeply into Vhorin's activities...
