One of the girls from Batch 6, Quantum is shown here participating in a Zero G exercise during her service as a Naval Ensign aboard Neu Samara's first system defense destroyer, the Ivan.
You wouldn't know it to look at her, but at the time this image was taken, she'd already become a mother of four kits, two by Napoleon, and two by Muon, left in the care of her batch sisters, Tag and Tisky while she's away.
When GenAssist first decanted her, there was considerable concern for her health and well being. She barely avoided being culled due to several cancerous growths she developed as she matured. Operations were undertaken to remove the growths which luckily never resurfaced, though the GenAssist scientists practiced tubal ligation as an added precaution against her passing on her genes.
Upon arrival of the fugitive members of Batch Six, faced with only two intact breeding females, negotiations were made with Pharam Corp, exchanging personal DNA data and lifelong 'care' data in exchange for free medical coverage, on site physicians and a reversal of Quantum's tubal ligation. Though GenAssist managed to circumvent the detrimental effects of their musteline charges needing to be bred to remain healthy, Quantum's condition after this second operation was markedly improved.
Though the same age as her brothers and sisters (15 Terran years in 2188), Quantum has had perhaps the most stressful lifespan of the lot, and tends to treat the others as if she were their elder.
