but decidedly tipsy!
a rare drunken sketch. looks surprisingly straight... even though my head is swimming.
I don't like being drunk. it was that one glass too many, y'know? drink responsibly, y'hear? seriously.

Drawing does get easier when tipsy... until a certain point. Guess that's a matter of loosening up, not worrying about the outcome. It looks well in any case!
I also don't like being drunk, I don't get what people see in it. I mean, one beer or two, sure, that's fine. But more? It tips over into negative effects very quickly for me. We can say it's self-limiting in my case.

thank you. :) I was worried with the pose and all... ^^
I was too drunk maybe three times in my life. but I learned to listen to my body, and recognize the point where one more swig or glass will destroy my looseness and good mood, and to stop there. took me long enough... also, once you're there you just can't say "no!" you're still drunken and sad.

No, the pose is great! And the anatomy, you did the foreshortening of her thigh very well, it can be a tricky thing.
Drinking is a difficult topic around here, it's practically a cultural expectation to be willing to get boozed without limits. On occasions I had to be aggressive, to get people the f*** away from me and stop nagging to "drink with them". Might be a social fun for them, but for me it quickly turns into self-poisoning, and no need to wait till next day to start getting consequences.

aww, thank you. ^^
here it's a cultural thing as well. every volksfest you see people already drunk as a skunk on the public transports heading to volksfest because there the price tags for stuff are insane. and then they end up in the gutter, wet, dirty, full of whatever, and broke. this is fun? are you serious?
out on the remote villages the youth is the same. all they know is to get drunker than everyone else...

This came out really well!
On the subject of "drunk drawing", I remember at one of my first furry get-togethers ("Conspiracy" 1997, Wellington NZ) we had one artist do a sequence of artworks that improved after each drink he'd finished - which led to us asking "How much alcohol do we need to put into him so he'll draw like Terrie Smith?"
