It was a hot and sunny day on Coconut Island, as birds could be heard chirping from the distance on this nice day. At the edge of the Jungle dwellings and near the beach shores, was a makeshift home, which belonged to Mikey and Tu Li, as a small little hut right beside it was home to their pet Jaguar Seishin. At this time, Seishin was in his little home, napping until Tu Li or Mikey came by to check up on him. However, as the day went on, a sudden poof of grey smoke appeared near their home and near Seishin. When the smoke quickly dissipated, there stood a small cat-like creature that had light grey fur with black stripe patterns, carried a pink pouch in front of it, and dawned a small cape on its back. It was Chirithy, Mikey's small companion who has been with him since he was brought to Daybreak Town. As the small creature looked at their surroundings, they began to speak.


Chirithy: Kiddo?! Are you here?! Just been a while since I last saw you.


Chirithy began to look around, and made his way towards Mikey and Tu Li's home. However, at the same time this was going on, Seishin spotted Chirithy the moment they appeared from out of literal thin air. Never seeing the Dream Eating spirit before, Seishin saw Chirithy as a small target. A target that he could have as a small snack. As Chirithy was reaching the front end of the home, Chirithy could hear growling and footsteps approaching them. When they looked to their left, they saw Seishin, who was slowly approaching Chirithy, eyeing them and growling at the same time. Never seeing the Jaguar before, and knowing they saw themselves as a target, Chirithy began to make a run for it screaming for their life, as Seishin dashed towards the small creature. The chase had begun.


Chirithy ran as fast as their small legs could let them, but against Seishin being a 4-legged animal from the Jungle, they had the speed and size advantage over the small grey cat. When Chirithy was at close enough range to them, Seishin pounced at Chirithy, but was only met with a small cloud of grey smoke as Chirithy disappeared before they could become a snack for the Jaguar. Just as quickly Chirithy disappeared, they had reappeared from a small puff of grey smoke right in front of Mikey and Tu Li's home. Even though Chirithy could appear and disappear in an instant, doing so took energy from them, and to get out of the area completely, they didn't have enough energy to do so.


Chirithy: Mikey! Tu Li! Anyone! Someone help me!


Hearing Chirithy's shouts for help, Seishin locked on to their target once again, dashing towards them. Seeing the jaguar about to go after them again, Chirithy ran as fast as the could around the beach shore. Seishin tried numerous times to catch their prey, but with each chance they could find, Chirithy was able to avoid Seishin's attempts at trying to eat them. Running out of breath, and not having much energy to run or dodge anymore attacks, Chirithy awaited the worst to come to them. They closed their eyes as a large shadow towered over them, but they didn't feel any harm come to them. When Chirithy opened their eyes, they saw Mikey, who was kneeling down looking at them.


Mikey: Are you alright, Chirithy?


Chirithy: Mikey!


Chirithy immediately hugged Mikey, as he looked behind to see Tu Li, who was in front of Seishin preventing them from getting any closer to Chirithy. Seeing Chirithy from behind Mikey, the jaguar growled, making Chirithy hide behind Mikey, as they turned around and raised their hand towards Seishin. At the same time, Tu Li went down to her knees, as she wagged her finger at Seishin to not go any closer to Chirithy. But all of the warnings were unfortunately ignored, as Seishin continued to growl at the small Dream Eater.


Tu Li: No! No! Bad kitty! Chirithy is a friend! Not food!


Seishin didn't stop growling, until they looked up at Tu Li, who gave a very stern and upset look towards the Jaguar.


Tu Li: Seishin.....


At first, Seishin was defiant at listening towards what Tu Li was telling them, even with the stern look they were being given. But after a few seconds, Seishin caved, and stopped growling, laying down on the sandy beach. With the situation starting to simmer down, Chirithy stopped hiding behind Mikey, but still kept a hand on his snakeskin robe as a precaution. At the same time, Tu Li approached Seishin, and placed her hands on his cheeks, giving her his undivided attention.


Tu Li: Seishin. I know Chirithy may look strange and just came out of nowhere. But he is Mikey's friend and my friend too. And when it comes to friends, they are not food. Do you understand?


After staring at Tu Li for several seconds, Seishin didn't do anything. That was until they licked Tu Li face, causing her to giggle and smile, hugging him in the end.


Tu Li: Come on, Seishin. Let's go and get you something to eat.


As Tu Li got up, Seishin got off from the sand, and began to walk back to her and Mikey's home. Seeing them walking back to the house, Mikey picked up Chirithy, knowing that his little companion was exhausted from all of the running. But as they were all walking back home, Tu Li heard an unexpected voice.


I understand now. They are friend. Not food.


Tu Li looked around, but didn't see who spoke to her. It was a voice she was not familiar with, and didn't know who it was. But felt familiar for an unknown reason. At that moment, she paid it no mind for now, and continued to walk back home.

Some time had passed since Seishin and Chirhty's first encounter with one another, and the two of them were at the sandy beach shores of Coconut Island. Chirithy was making some sand drawings, as Seishin approached the little Dream Eater, as he began to give a friendly like to the side of Chirithy's face. Chirithy only giggled, with the two of them reconciling and becoming friends in the end. Back at the front area of their home, Mikey and Tu Li looked on at the two getting along, as they couldn't be happier to see them being friendly and not trying to harm one another. But as they were sitting down, Tu Li kept thinking back to the moment she heard that unknown voice. She may not know where it came from, but she had the feeling that it was from someone close by.
