To the left is Dora (short for Nymphadora) and to the right is Tyr.
A nymph (in either sense of the word, I guess) and a satyr.

I used to doodle these two a lot when I was 17 or 18 or so. Whenever it was that I first read 1984. I never did a whole lot with them, but the fireflies follow around Dora and Tyr loves his coffee. Sometimes her fireflies end up in his coffee. I'd like to think they're quite infatuated with one another.

Dora is trying to do the little hand-heart thing. Tyr...doesn't get it.
Also, I like the floating head behind them. It's unrelated, but I liked it enough not to erase it out. This was just on a piece of computer paper with other sketches on it.

I miss being able to use my tablet and scanner. Soon enough. ++
