Also: My guy randombly designed a Black/Red dragon character and some prick accused me (even though i just DREW it, i didn't DESIGN IT) of stealing his murrrrrrrrrsona. Then i did a search on FA and found like, 25 other very similar dragons. I think he was just looking for a reason to get some spotlight :D :D

Anyways, this image is amazing and i'm sorely hoping you're going to re-open for commissions as i'd love a picture of my dragoness in your style!

If it's a standard clasic dragon (it happens mainly with some western types) it's not rare that some people come up with similar designs (lot of people around the world). But any case in particular should be carefully studied, and then is not hard to know if it's a copy from another previous design. In any case people must give proper credit =)

I care more the design than the colors, since the colors can be easily changed.

Yeah, totally understand! This one in particular was black with a red underbelly. There's a lot of those on FA (as it's a popular color scheme!) I've yet to have anyone run screaming to me about my Dragoness being a copy-cat, but I've got time stamps dating back to late 2001 with her, so i'm ready for that battle if it happens!

And i COMPLETELY agree about design versus colors. People who whine about their colors tend to not have much emotion and character invested into the "persona". My Dragoness would be the same even if she was blue, black, or pink xD She's been a character of mine for many years and her importance to me runs deeper than color.

By the way, I noticed in your journal that English is not your first language (though you seem absolutely fluent in it!) What is your native language?

I'been watching your gallery and I liked your dragoness, green and maned ;).
The last day I was thinking about how few green dragons we see around..They are like brown horses, but doesn't mean they aren't beautiful too!
I had a great 'common color' bay horse 2 years ago, and for me he was beautiful, even though I've always loved buckskin horses.

I've also never made a great deal out of dragon colors since some breeds, in my opinion, can have different colors like our hairs. But in some clans, color IS important, since you can clasiffy them by that feature. It depends.

Sorry, I got a bit carried away. Not easy to explain in English either.

I think you did a great job of explaining actually; and yes, there is a lack of green dragons in the fandom (which at the moment, i'm okay with this!) It's funny, because I have both a brown horse and a green dragoness, i've got two of the "uncommons" in the fandom!

I love bay horses, their black stockings look so nice. I'm lucky enough to have a buckskin horse, but my favorites are all chestnut/regular brown colored, like the one in my profile ID.

Gorgeous picture! I love the scale detail, especially how you've transitioned from the small, delicate ones on the muzzle to the larger eye ridge. And the big, plate-y scales on the back - yayyy! I also like how you've given him such an almost metallic shine.
