Many years ago, in the first test games of The Shadow of the Dog Lord Anthropomorphic Fantasy Roleplaying Game, I had a player who, on more than one occasion played the role of a, ah, exotic dancer. The first rendition of the character was so, er, proficient at what she did that she was even able to seduce the Dark Lord Fenrir himself. I didn't like the direction of that game, so it came to an end, and in a later rendition, I believe the character was watered down to a more balanced version. Also, since the old rules only had four classes, the character was an Adept...now I think a character of that, uh, profession would be considered a Minstrel.

I have had the pleasure of running many games since those first test sessions almost four years ago, but I think I miss those characters and players the most, since back in “the good old days”, we gave infinitely more focus on the characters and didn't really care about combats (maybe because the combat rules back then were terrible at best). Now it seems that it's just turned into a game of bloodshed and violence where development of the characters is as well done as in any gunslinger action explosion fest movie.

I'd give quite a bit to run a game like that again...plus now I know that if an exotic dancer character does try to woo the sexually repressed villain, he always has the option to burn her as a witch
